Say farewell to 2009 and ring in 2010 by hosting a New Year's Eve party that is both memorable and full of delicious & creative food ideas created easily using Summer Fresh products!
Invitations:
After you have decided on a guest list, there are many options for creative invitations.
- Local party supply stores carry inexpensive pre-made invites, complete with envelopes.
- Get family members involved designing original invitations. Discount and dollar stores carry a wide assortment of scrapbook materials which can easily be transformed into beautiful invitations.
- E-Invitations are a growing trend for parties, BBQ’s and even weddings! Announce to all of your guests via e-mail about your New Year’s “shindig”, or use one of the many free invite sites on the web. It is a free and time saving option if your guest list is long.
Ensure that all necessary information required is included on any invitation. This includes:
- Guest Name(s)
- Address of the party location
- Contact Name/Number
- Theme (if applicable)
- RSVP Date
After the invitations have been sent, and the guest list tallied, forge on with all other aspects of party planning including;
Theme:
If you decide on attaching a theme to your party, experiment with some of these ideas:
- White & Black – Instruct your guests that they can only wear black and white attire
- Best of 2009 – Your guests have to dress in order to reflect one of their favourite events of the passing year
- Potluck – Reduce your holiday stress by asking each guest to bring their favourite dish. Ensure you delegate before hand, to have an array of options from every course (appetizers/main dish/desserts)
- Dine “Under the stars” – Don’t let the cold weather discourage an invigorating dinner outside! Ensure you instruct your guests to dress warmly, and encourage them to participate in fun activities such as tobogganing, ice skating or host a “build a snow man” contest before you sit down to eat.
Food:
The most important aspect of any party is the delicious food served! Amaze your guests with tasty & indulging items created using delicious fare from Summer Fresh!
Appetizers:
- Top brie cheese with Summer Fresh Fig & Balsamic Cheese Topping, warm in the oven and serve with flatbread crackers or sliced fruit.
